Scale Computing raises $9M to sell enterprise storage

Scale Computing , which sells storage solutions to small and medium businesses, has raised $9 million in a second round led by  Benchmark Capital . Scale’s earlier investors, including  Blue Chip Venture Company ,  CID Equity and  Spring Mill Venture Partners also participated in the round

Bump Technologies closes in on 10 million downloads

Sequoia-backed Bump Technologies Inc . is closing in on 10 million downloads for its nifty contact and data-sharing app. With iPhone and iPod Touch sales estimated to be around 80 million , co-founder  Jake Mintz says this means the company’s apps are on more than 10 percent of Apple’s phones

Multicore chip maker Tilera raises $25M

March 8th, 2010

Chip maker Tilera , whose multicore products have as many as 100 computing “brains” on one chip, today announced it’s closed a $25 million third round of financing. New investors in this latest, oversubscribed, round are communications chip maker Broadcom, contract manufacturer Quanta Computer and Japan-based NTT Financing Corp.
